Dear International Wine of the Month Club,
Last year at Christmas I was browsing the interest trying to find
the 'perfect' gift for my parents who do so much for me and my girls,
not just at Christmas, but all year through. It just didn't seem to
be enough to give them something special just once each year as thanks
for all they do. Unfortunately with my very hectic life and little
time I knew that trying to remember each month to pick up something
special or do something special would be near impossible. I was SO
THRILLED when I found your club. Not only is it the PERFECT gift but
it will also last all year. They were so excited about the club they
purchased a wine rack to display their many selections. They have
enjoyed each bottle they have received and have shared they wines
with friends and family. As this Christmas drew near I had no doubt
that I would continue their membership for another year. My Mom told
me the other day that this is one of the best gifts she's ever received.

"…I’ve belonged to 6 wine clubs now and was quite please with two of them, but I have to say, I’m most impressed with the selections that I’ve received from International Wine Cellars. The 1996 Argiolas Costera was all that your newsletter stated it to be. When I first read your tasting notes, I was skeptical. It sounded a bit too good:"
"The captivating scent of violets and roses, fragrant woodlands and berries caress the nose. It’s almost impossible to draw your face away from the glass to sip this wine but you’ll be glad that you did. Kirsch, black cherry, truffle and berry stroke the palate, all with the final soft touch of velvet in the finish. Neither hardness nor "edge" mar this lush, spicy, delectable wine. It is ripe and jammy, and loaded with mouth-filling flavors, without the flabbiness of other less interesting Mediterranean wines."

She said you were collecting testimonials for your web site, and I thought I could take 5 min. to type up a quick note for you. There are several things I really like about the service. The first and foremost is that the wines truly do come from all around the world. In the last 6 months, I’ve received excellent wines from France, Italy, California, Australia, Chili and probably a few other countries that I’m leaving out. I also like the ability to ship every other month when I need to because although I love wine, I don’t always drink 2 bottles a month so from time to time I switch to every other month to catch up. That’s a great feature and I’m glad you offer it. Anyway, that’s my two cents worth! Hope that helps!"

"I just had to drop you a quick email to tell you that the Janodet Gran Cru Moulin a Vent was one of the best wines I’ve enjoyed in years. I was really quite surprised to stumble across such a gem in a wine club, but I’ve found at least two that I can think of that really impressed me. The other was the Domaine De Font Sane Gigondas that came a few months before the Janodet. I received this membership as a gift and if you keep sending me wines of this caliber, I’ll definitely renew my membership!"

"…I just wanted to make sure that you recognized Christine in your customer service department because she is a pure pleasure to work with. I was in a tight situation the other week and had to come up with a gift for my manager at the last minute. Christine told me about all 6 of your clubs and we ended up combining a Cheese and Wine membership for 6 months. There wasn’t time for her to send a gift card, so she offered to fax or email the card, or to walk me through creating one on your web site! I printed it in color on nice stationary and we all signed it… it looked wonderful! I was hoping for just one solution and Christine offered me three.
